Taking Care of your Cake
Once the cake is in your possession, the cake is your responsibility.
Please handle cake with care!
MOVE IT.
When transporting your cake, it is important that you keep cake on a flat surface. The floor of the car is your best friend. Also, make sure you crank some AC so your cake stays nice and cool!
STORE IT.
Best way to store cake is to leave out at room temperature. If your cake has whipped cream, cream cheese, fruit, or pastry cream – please put in refrigerator. If cake is in the refrigerator, take out about two hours before serving.
KEEP IT FRESH.
After you cut and serve the cake, the sides will get hard. The best way to keep the cake fresh is to put the leftovers in an airtight container or cover the cut sides with foil or plastic wrap.
MAKE IT LAST.
Cakes left at room temperature last for 3 days. Takes an airtight container and left in refrigerator can last up to seven days. Cakes wrapped properly and airtight container left in freezer can last up to 2 months.
